Impact Wellbeing Staff Training On-Site Seated Massage
The programme teaches people how to use mindfulness, visualisation, breathing, relaxation and massage techniques (self and / or peer massage) as a way to manage stress.
The programme has an impact and benefit; employees can use the techniques independently outside of the course immediately - so if they are unable to attend all sessions they would still have some tools and techniques to manage both the physical and emotional effects of stress.
The programme is delivered as a 6 week course (this can be adapted to suit your requirements e.g. half day sessions). The usual format is an hour session each week covering the following topics:
Week 1 - effects of stress on the body / stretching and breathing exercises
Week 2 - breath and stretch revisited - relaxation and visualisation and self-massage
Week 3 - recap breathing and self-massage and visualisation
Week 4 - recap self-massage, worry tree and peer massage
Week 5 - recap and practice peer massage - changes to aid relaxation
Week 6 - Peer massage and visualisation and feedback
Please contact me to discuss your exact requirements and costs to deliver the programme to your organisation.
I provide on-site massage along with the Impact Wellbeing workplace training programme.
On-site massage is particularly effective at targeting the upper back, neck and shoulders which are often tense if your work involves using a laptop / PC regularly. Massage can reduce symptoms of anxiety during times of stress, overwhelm and worry. It helps relieve muscle tension and evokes feelings of calmness and wellbeing.
The Impact wellbeing programme teaches people how to use mindfulness, visualisation, breathing, relaxation and massage techniques as a way to manage stress and overwhelm at work.
What is On-site Massage?
On-site massage is an acupressure massage performed by trained professionals in a specially designed chair. It focuses on high-tension areas including the neck, shoulders, back, arms, and hands. It usually lasts 15 to 20 minutes and really makes a difference to stress and tension.
Are other companies already using on-site massage at work?
Yes. On-site massage has been a fast growing service since its introduction to the UK in 1990. Both large and small companies are using on-site massage to help improve the health and well-being of staff in the workplace and also as a promotional tool at marketing events. I have worked in both large and small companies, both in the workplace and at staff events and am happy to provide testimonials from these organisations.
